Food Consulting Services

After successfully working 15 years in professional kitchens, my focus on that work began to shift when I launched Akis Consulting in 1996. I’ve been blessed with a creative culinary mind, have extensive and ever-growing culinary knowledge, and was correct in believing there would be a market for the three main services I now provide.

Recipe development: As the author of seven successful cookbooks and hundreds of recipe-rich food columns, I can confidently say that I am a highly skilled recipe developer. If you’re looking for great-tasting, easy-to-follow recipes for a specific ingredient, you’ll get them from me.

Food styling: In addition to developing recipes, I also do the food styling when a photo of a dish is required. You can see some of my work in the photos on this website. Over the years, I have also built up an extensive collection of plates, props and other items that I can provide to clients if required.

Cooking instruction: I enjoy sharing my extensive culinary knowledge and present cooking classes on a wide range of topics — seafood, cooking for celebrations, and tasty midweek meals, to name but a few.
